Would you like $100?  Have you figured out an interesting Cognos-related problem?  We are now giving $100 gift certificates to all presentation!  On our website is the OCBIG Presentation Challenge 2011. You can use the form as a guide for creating a presentation.  Fill it out or create your own overview, and email it to presentation_challenge@ocbig.org.  The OCBIG executive will review it.  If your presentation is selected, you can present it at a future meeting and receive the $100 gift certificate.  It’s that easy.  Why present:

a)     To see creative ways in which other developers are using the  Cognos products.

b)     To see how other developers solved tricky technical problems.

c)     To get ideas how we could improve our own reports / reporting environments either technically or visually.

d)     To get peer recognition for great ideas.

e)     To have a little fun at work, without getting caught.

f)      To get a $100 gift certificate.

With the continuing, generous sponsorship of IBM, OCBIG finds itself in an enviable situation.  As a result, we are suspending our membership fee again for our upcoming fiscal year.  I still encourage you to become a member since membership has its privileges.  If you have not attended one of our meetings, or if it has been a while, please try to attend the upcoming meetings and see what we are all about.  The membership suspension is only until April 2012 so be sure to register on our website, for each meeting, to reserve your seat!
